Our four most popular lectures

“Who am I leading and am I leading the right way” 3 hours

Most of us who lead or have led other people have generally had excellent intentions in our idea of “how to do this”. We have probably been successful in many cases, but there are probably also times when things have not really worked as well, EVEN THOUGH you’ve had the same intention and said the same things. The thing is, we are all different. This is a lecture on different leadership styles, with their individual strengths and pitfalls as well as the problems they might encounter. It also invites the listener to reflect on their own leadership style and which one they tend to apply.

“Does your leadership use all your intelligences to make decisions?” 2 hours

Humans are complex creatures made up of many intelligences, but if we simplify things somewhat, we can divide these into three categories: Head (mental), Heart (emotional) and Body (instinctive). All people have all three, but we unconsciously use them in different ways – and that creates different kinds of communication. This is a lecture on how we can make better long-term decisions by consciously using all our intelligences.

“The emotionally healthy and empathetic leadership” 2 hours

Right now, there is a lot of research showing that “kind” and empathetic managers are more profitable in the long run and manage to motivate their staff to “go the extra mile”. This has, however, been difficult to “measure”, which has meant that it has received little focus and few resources in the corporate world. This lecture deals with the importance of considerate leadership and the impact it has on results and profit, the individual, the group and society in general.

“‘Your mom doesn’t work here’ – the art of going from reactive to proactive2 hours

Most work places have (or have had) a sign in the kitchen saying “Your mom doesn’t work here!”. This sign has often been put up by someone who has tired of “always” having to tidy up after others and wiping down the sink. From this perspective, this sign is a logical response from a person who is fed up with others not pulling their weight. We can all relate to situations where we’ve reacted in a flash, got angry, and quite often been left with a bad feeling and a need to go back and apologize.

This is a lecture on what we can do differently – going from reactive to proactive and the effects this will have.
